BYIT OLAM
The first Temple that my family belonged to was called Beth El, which means House of God. For four decades I always thought that the word 'house' or home in Hebrew was bet or beth. After all, Bethlehem is really Bet Lekhem, house of bread in Hebrew.
But I was most humbled in Hebrew class when I learned that the correct pronunciation is really By-it. And then I got to thinking about the Holiday Inn, because for 14 years, I traveled in my job, Holiday Inn was my second home. Is Holiday Inn in Hebrew "Chag Byit"? Which got me thinking more about our Byit Olam, our Eternal home, and wow, I am sure glad it is not going to be like the Holiday Inn. In our
Byit Olam-

We have all been on trips for family gatherings, business trips, maybe a cruise or an overseas tour, but there is nothing like coming home. As we are about the Father's business here, we can glory in the fact that our Byit Olam
always has the Light on for our arrival.
2 Cor 5:1-7
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house byit is torn down, we have a building from God, a house byit not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
For indeed in this house byit we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven;
inasmuch as we, having put it on, shall not be found naked. For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed, but to be clothed, in order that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.
Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord--
for we walk by faith, not by sight--
